Vision & Mission

Destiny’s Daughters of Promise (DDP)

We provide a safe environment where teen girls can come and learn strategies to become confident leaders and contributing members of society.

DDP has grown tremendously in the number of girls we serve and in the innovation and reach of our programs. Demand continues to grow in our county and surrounding counties for our life-enhancing community service projects, group outings, field trips, mentoring and leadership workshop sessions. Our program is targeting middle and high school girls. We have joined forces with engaged parents, local schools, community leaders, businesses and corporations to help our teens graduate and become productive citizens. When we save a girl, we save a generation.

The three components of our program include:

  • Leadership Development Sessions (Sessions held weekly in local schools)
We have partnered with several schools in the Metro Atlanta area to provide life skills and leadership development training that will help girls develop into confident women through education, life skills training and career exploration opportunities.
  • Mentoring
Teens participate in a one on one relationships that are emotionally supportive with adult women showing interest in the youth’s time and activities. The mentors also provide opportunities for the girls to learn and grow through experiences learned during monthly outings.
  • Community Service
There are a number of volunteer projects that the teens engage in throughout the school year. We teach civic responsibility so that teens take pride in their work and community.

Middle School Program

NX Gen (Next Generation Leaders) is designed to prepare middle school girls for transition into healthy and independent adults. The after school sessions enhance leadership development, strong interpersonal skills and basic life skills.

High School Program

Girl with Promise is specific to the enrichment and development of young women in grades 8-12. The purpose establishing Girl with Promise is to teach vital life skills through direct instruction, opportunities for career exploration, field trips and role-playing; this in turn will help foster personal growth and development. Teen girls in our high school program come from various high schools in the Metro Atlanta. They meet on the first and third Saturday of the month at our office location in Kennesaw, GA. In addition, the teens enjoy occasional outings and field trips.

To join DDP, students must register and be recommended by a school counselor, administrator or teacher. For more information or to bring DDP to your area, contact us at
